Incredibly hot with a delicious smoky flavor, Tabasco plants grow to 4 feet tall as pods ripen from creamy yellow to orange to brilliant red. Long-lived plants thrive in containers and can survive for several years — a living piece of culinary history.

Growing Notes

Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before warm nightly temperatures. Sow ¼” deep in sterile media with 85°F bottom heat and bright light. Germination in 7–21 days. Transplant to rich soil 30” apart or into large 5-gallon containers. Harvest when pods are full-size and glossy red.
