Growing Notes

Start indoors 2–3 months before last frost. Sow seeds ½ inch deep in a flat, keep at room temperature and consistently moist. When tops fall over, trim to 3–4 inches. Transplant outdoors 4 weeks before last frost (or when soil reaches 55°F), spacing 4–6 inches apart in full sun with light, rich soil. To direct sow, sow 3 seeds per inch ½ inch deep; thin to 2–6 inches.
