Harris Model has been a favorite heirloom parsnip for home gardeners for generations! A good producer and popular variety. It will produce 12" long roots, that are 3 1/2 " at the shoulder. Smooth skin, a sweetish-nutty flavor, and fine-grained flesh. Parsnips can take the place of carrots in many recipes. You can peel and mash them like potatoes with a bit of butter. They can be grated into fresh salads or added to stews and soups. There are many ways to enjoy these tasty roots. An old-fashioned crop that really deserves to be included in your garden. 85 to 90 days to maturity.

These are growing very well. Plants are about a foot high so far. Everything I've gotten from them is doing great.
