The Nadapeno is the jalapeño for everyone who loves the crunch, flavor, and versatility of jalapeños but can’t handle the heat. Developed through careful multi-generational selection — choosing fruits with less heat while preserving all the other characteristics of jalapeños — the Nadapeno arrives at a pepper with no heat whatsoever, yet loaded with authentic jalapeño flavor. Attractive 3-inch fruits ripen from green to red on sturdy, prolific plants that begin producing in just 55 days from transplant. No gloves needed for chopping or slicing.
Perfect for jalapeño poppers, salsa, pickling, stuffing, and roasting — all the classic jalapeño applications, heat-free and family-friendly.
Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed, spacing plants 18–24 inches apart in full sun. Water consistently. Harvest green at 55 days or allow to ripen fully to red for a sweeter flavor.
