Growing Notes

Direct sow outdoors in early spring (as soon as soil can be worked) through late summer. Sow seeds ⅛ inch deep, thinly, in rows 12 inches apart in full sun. Thin to 1–2 inches apart. Can also be started indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. For overwintering, sow in late summer and mulch lightly after hard frost. Divide clumps in the second year to expand your patch. Harvest as needed — cut leaves from the outside and the plant will continue producing.
