Royal Golden, Watermelon,
Very Rare hard-to-find Heirloom Royal Golden Watermelon rind turns yellow at maturity. This unique color makes it easy to know when to harvest, and is gorgeous in your garden. It is much larger than 'Golden Midget,' with fruit weighing 8-25 lbs. An extraordinary variety with pink flesh and a built-in ripeness indicator. The tasty pinkish-red flesh is super-sweet, crisp, and refreshing. It was developed from the "Pumpkin Rind" variety, a now-extinct, early American watermelon. The Royal Goldens still remind us of giant glowing pumpkins; their vines are even primarily yellow. One of the best-tasting watermelons ever! Grow This Delicious Fruit! in 80-85 days.
