It was released in 1943 with much fanfare because, unlike many peas, it tolerates heat. If you have to plant late or want a continuous supply of English peas, grow the delicious Wando pea. Sow late in the season to extend your pea harvest. Compact 18" - 30" plant doesn't require staking. 3-4" pods filled with 6-8 dark-green peas. The delicate sweet flavor when young.
