Golden Cal Wonder Pepper Heirloom A 1948 introduction. Arguably the best of the open-pollinated yellow bells. As it matures, this sweet pepper changes its color from green to yellow to golden orange. The flesh is thick and of fine quality; the plant produces well and does well in both cool and warm weather. Solid and upright plants make harvesting a breeze. Good fruit set, even in cool conditions. Makes a tasty and excellent visual addition to salads and stir-fries. Days to maturity: 60 days green, 78 gold
