Cayenne Thick Chili (Capsicum annuum) is a fiery red heirloom cayenne with unusually thick flesh — more meaty than standard cayenne varieties, making it exceptional for drying, grinding into cayenne powder, and making hot sauces. Long, slim pods ripen to brilliant red with bold cayenne heat. Prolific and productive all season. Open-pollinated and non-GMO.
Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after frost danger has passed, spacing plants 18–24 inches apart in full sun. Water consistently. Harvest when pods are fully red. Dry in a warm, well-ventilated location or grind into powder.
