Amish Snap Pea was being grown in the Amish community long before present snap pea types were developed. Vines grow 5-6 tall and are covered in medium-sized 2-3 inch translucent green pods. They have a sweet and crisp flavor. Yields well over six weeks if kept picked. Delicate and sweet even when the seeds develop. The harvest is generally abundant and lasts several weeks.
