Homemade Pickles was bred for exactly one purpose — and it delivers on that promise with every harvest. These attractive, extra-tasty cucumbers are firm and tender-sweet at any size: harvest at 1½ inches for tiny, jewel-like sweet pickles, or let them grow to 5–6 inches for full-sized dill pickles with exceptional crunch and flavor. Plants grow vigorously over a long season, producing abundantly on vines that reward consistent picking with continuous new fruit.
Support the bountiful vines with a trellis, keep them well-watered, and pick promptly — the more you harvest, the more they produce. 55 days.
Direct sow outdoors after last frost when soil has warmed to at least 60°F, or start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds 1 inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil. Space plants 12–18 inches apart in full sun. Trellis or stake vines. Water consistently — uneven moisture causes bitterness. Harvest frequently to encourage continuous production.
