The Red Beard Bunching Onion takes 50 - 75 days to mature. This is a colorful, Non-GMO garden seed which is an Heirloom onion seed. These will be red with white on top and with green tops. This is a day-neutral onion that can be planted at any time of the year. It is also cold, hardy, so you can overwinter in zones six and above. Grow like you would any bunching onion. This is a rare and hard-to-find Asian variety that will grow tiny bulbs and get 8 to 12 inches tall, looking like mini leeks.
