Chicory Radicchio Rossa Di Verona heirloom. This is an excellent deep Red variety, slightly tighter in shape than some other forms, with great flavour. It will turn a rich Red when exposed to cooler weather. An Italian heirloom vegetable, chicory is a chicory known for its vibrant red color and bitter, spicy flavor. It's a leafy vegetable that matures relatively quickly, similar to lettuce and cabbage. The leaves are often used in salads or can be cooked, and they add a unique, tangy flavor. These are growing very well. Plants are about a foot high so far. Everything I've gotten from them is doing great.
