The Red Pear tomato, a favorite since before 1800, produces clusters of small, sweet, pear-shaped red fruits that are perfect for salads and fresh eating. Each tomato measures 1.75 to 2 inches long and is rich in flavor, earning its nickname "garden candy." This indeterminate variety takes about 75 days to mature and grows fairly tall, so it will need staking or caging.
