Red Bull β€” The Rare Heirloom Brussels Sprout With Dark Red Sprouts That Are Milder, Nuttier, and More Beautiful Than Green

Red Bull Brussels Sprouts is a rare and exceptional heirloom that produces high yields of dark red sprouts with a delicate, mild, nutty flavor β€” milder and nuttier than standard green varieties. Heads average 1 to 1Β½ inches in diameter, very nutritious, and beautifully retain their deep red color when cooked. An excellent and visually striking choice for home gardens and market growers alike. 90 days to maturity.

Why Grow Red Bull?

  • Dark red sprouts β€” beautiful, visually striking at harvest and on the plate
  • Milder & nuttier than green β€” delicate, refined flavor
  • Retains color when cooked β€” stays deep red, not grey
  • High yields β€” 1–1Β½" heads, productive plants
  • Rare heirloom β€” a genuine find for Brussels sprout enthusiasts
  • Open-pollinated heirloom β€” save seed year after year

Growing Notes

Brussels sprouts are a cool-weather crop requiring fertile, heavy soil. Start seeds indoors 4–5 weeks before transplanting, then transplant to permanent locations about 100 days before first fall frost. Space plants 18–24 inches apart in full sun. Mulch around the base and water consistently β€” Brussels sprouts become bitter when allowed to dry out in hot weather. Harvest when sprouts are 1 inch in diameter and tight. Break off the leaf directly below each sprout to encourage continued sprout production up the stalk.
