Gourmet gardeners will love this hard-to-find, authentic Spanish Padron peppers, a prized specialty direct from the Galicia region of Spain. Padron is a small hot pepper famous in Spain, and people eat it sauteed in olive oil with sea salt as a tapas appetizer. If the peppers are harvested at 1 to 1 1/2 inches long, most will be mild, with about one in twenty hot. All of the peppers will become hot when they reach 2-3". Padron makes a great frying pepper or even a pickled pepper; the heat increases as they ripen to red. Days to Harvest: 85
