Developed at New Mexico State University in 1956 by Dr. Ray Harper, NuMex Sandia brings the rich flavor of an Anaheim pepper with a satisfying kick of extra heat. A cross between Anaheim and NuMex 9, this versatile chili registers 5,000–7,000 SHU — perfect for roasting, stuffing, salsas, and green chile dishes.
Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. Transplant to full sun in fertile, well-draining soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Keep evenly watered throughout the season. Harvest green or allow to ripen red for full flavor.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
