Growing Notes

Direct sow outdoors after last frost when soil has warmed to at least 60°F, or start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds 1 inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil. Space plants 12–18 inches apart in full sun. Trellis or stake vines. Water consistently. Harvest at 7–8 inches for best flavor and texture.
