Leisure is a standout cilantro variety with demonstrated good heat tolerance and high productivity — two qualities that make it exceptional in the herb garden. Producing flat, parsley-like leaves with excellent flavor, Leisure is a steady grower that delivers generous harvests of fresh cilantro leaves throughout the season. Let it bolt and you get a second harvest: the round seeds are coriander — aromatic and flavorful, used to season meats, pickles, and baked goods. In summer, Leisure blossoms with tiny white to pale pink flower clusters that attract bees, butterflies, and birds. A truly dual-purpose herb that earns its space twice over. 35–40 days to first harvest.
Direct sow outdoors in early spring or fall — cilantro prefers cool weather but Leisure handles heat better than most. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep, 2 inches apart, in rows 12 inches apart in full sun to part shade. Thin to 6 inches apart. Keep soil consistently moist. Succession sow every 2–3 weeks for continuous leaf harvest. To harvest coriander seeds, allow plants to bolt and flower, then collect seed heads when they turn brown and dry completely before storing.
