Blacktail Mountain Watermelon, Heirloom Seeds β€” The Idaho Icebox Heirloom That Sets the Standard for Flavor in Just 65 Days

Blacktail Mountain (Citrullus lanatus) was developed by Glenn Downs of the Sand Hill Preservation Center in Idaho in the cool summers of the 1970s β€” the quintessential icebox watermelon that sets the standard for flavor. Loaded with sweet red flesh, most famous for ripening in just 65 days. Excellent keeping quality β€” harvest just before ripe and melons will finish in storage, lasting up to two months. Outstanding yields.
