Pusztakolosz Tomato, Heirloom Seeds — The Rare Transylvanian Heirloom With 1–2 lb All-Flesh Fruits and Exceptional Sweet Flavor

Pusztakolosz (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) is a genuinely rare heirloom from Cluj, Transylvania, Romania — a variety of deep cultural significance, as Cluj is known as Kolozsár in Hungarian and “Puszta” means prairie. Shared by German seed collector Gerhard Bohl through The Seed Ambassadors Project, this variety produces large, red-orange fruits weighing 1–2 lbs that are almost entirely flesh with very few seeds. The flavor is exceptional — delightfully sweet and mild with well-balanced acidity. A true heirloom worth saving. 80–85 days.

Why Grow Pusztakolosz?

  • 1–2 lb almost all-flesh fruits — very few seeds, exceptional eating quality
