Oma’s Pink is the tomato named for a grandmother — and it carries that warmth in every fruit. Introduced in 1943, this mid-season heirloom produces beautiful dark-pink beefsteak fruits with very thin skin and a moderately sweet, satisfying flavor that makes them exceptional for fresh eating and slicing. Fruits typically weigh between half and a full pound and measure 3–5 inches wide — substantial, beautiful, and deeply satisfying on the plate.
Tall, leafy, indeterminate plants grow up to 6 feet tall and produce generously through the mid-season. An open-pollinated heirloom with genuine heritage character.
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed, spacing plants 24–36 inches apart in full sun. Stake or cage tall vines. Water consistently. Harvest when fruits are fully dark-pink and give slightly to gentle pressure.
