Tall, vigorous dark green, 20 to 18-inch tops tinged with maroon, excellent for greens. The glossy green, red-veined tops can be harvested for salads as it grows. Dark purplish-red 3-inch flattened globe bunching beet for home gardens. They are used as the first early beet variety for mid-summer sowing and storage. An excellent all-around beet that also pickles well and stores in the ground over winter. 48-60 days.
