Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach Seeds — Heirloom | Heavy Savoyed Leaves, Slow to Bolt, Excellent for Microgreens

Spinacia oleracea — Introduced at the turn of the 20th century, Bloomsdale Long Standing is the benchmark heirloom spinach — heavy, glossy, dark green leaves that are deeply savoyed and crinkled, held erect so they stay cleaner than flat-leaf types. Slow to bolt, high-yielding, and equally excellent as a full-size crop or microgreen. 54 days.

Why Grow Bloomsdale Long Standing?

  • Deeply savoyed, crinkled leaves — heavy, glossy, dark green; beautiful and distinctive
  • Held erect — stays cleaner than flat-leaf varieties that lie on the ground
  • Slow to bolt — extended harvest window compared to standard spinach
  • High yield — one of the most productive heirloom spinach varieties available
  • Excellent for microgreens — fast, flavorful, and visually striking at the microgreen stage
  • Open-pollinated heirloom — save seed year after year

Growing Notes
