This heirloom variety has been grown in the Hatch Valley of Southwest New Mexico for over a century. Hatch describes various green chili varieties, ranging from mild to extra hot. These chilies are 8" to 10" long on productive 30" plants. Easy to grow and can be started indoors for an earlier harvest or directly sown into warm, moist soil and kept wet until germination.
