Toma Verde (Physalis ixocarpa) is the go-to tomatillo for salsa verde — early-maturing and prolific, producing large, flat-round green fruits with excellent flavor that are ripe when they burst through their husks. Blended with fresh hot peppers, Toma Verde makes the traditional Mexican green sauce that defines authentic salsa verde. Culture and care are similar to tomatoes. 60 days from transplant.
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after frost danger has passed, spacing plants 24–36 inches apart in full sun. Important: Tomatillos will not self-pollinate — plant two or more plants (any tomatillo variety) for good fruit production. Harvest when fruits burst through their husks.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
