Tendersweet Orange (Citrullus lanatus) is the benchmark for orange-fleshed watermelons — crisp, sweet, and distinctively colorful. An oblong-type melon with dark green and lighter green stripes averaging around 30 pounds. Excellent taste and texture. Tough rind holds well on the vine longer than most varieties, making it a good candidate for farmers’ markets and local sales. 90 days.
Start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed into warm soil in full sun. Give vines plenty of room to run. Water consistently. Harvest when the belly turns yellow and the tendril nearest the fruit dries.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
