Tendergreen Burpless is the cucumber for everyone who has ever found cucumbers hard to digest. Sweet, tender, non-bitter, and acid-free, this medium green, smooth, blocky heirloom is at its best harvested at eight inches or fewer — crisp, refreshing, and genuinely easy on the stomach. As the name implies, most people experience very little, if any, burping from enjoying them.

An excellent fresh market cucumber that can also be used for pickling if picked earlier. Prepare beds with well-rotted manure for a great bounty — and ensure pollinator access for full production.

Growing Notes

Direct sow outdoors after last frost when soil has warmed to at least 60°F, or start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds 1 inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil enriched with well-rotted manure. Space plants 12–18 inches apart in full sun. Trellis or stake vines. Water consistently. Harvest at 8 inches or under for best quality. Ensure pollinator access for full production.
