Teddy Bear (Helianthus annuus) is an attractive dwarf sunflower producing bright yellow, cheery bursts of fully double petals — fluffy, pompom-like blooms 4–6 inches across on compact 2–3-foot plants. Each plant produces several flowers, making it beautiful as a border plant or cut flower. Drought tolerant and not fussy about soil — very easy to grow. An excellent choice for kids and small-space gardens. Annual. 25+ seeds per packet.
Direct sow outdoors after last frost in full sun. Sow seeds 1 inch deep, 6 inches apart. Thin to 12 inches. Water consistently until established — drought tolerant once established. Not fussy about soil. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering. 60–70 days to bloom.
