Southern Giant Curled Mustard, Heirloom Seeds — The 1935 AAS Gold Medal Winner That Grows Under Snow

Southern Giant Curled Mustard won the prestigious All-America Selections Gold Medal Award in 1935 — and it has been earning its place in gardens ever since. Large, bright green, fringed and curled leaves with a mild flavor in cool weather make it exceptional cooked like spinach or added to salad mixes. Frost doesn't just tolerate this variety; it improves it — deepening the flavor and color. Extremely winter hardy, Southern Giant Curled will grow outside through the winter, even under snow. Highly productive, slow to bolt, and a true champion in the garden. Baby greens in 25 days, full maturity at 45 days.

Mustard greens originated in the Himalayan region of northern India and have been grown for thousands of years across Chinese, Japanese, African, and Southern American cuisines.
