Sandy AAS, Heirloom Leaf Lettuce Seeds — The First AAS Award-Winning Lettuce Since 1985, With Exceptional Heat Tolerance and Mildew Resistance

Sandy (Lactuca sativa) made history in 2015 as the first lettuce to win an All-America Selections award since 1985 — and it earned it. A compact, dark green oakleaf variety with crisp, ruffled leaves and a sweet, mild flavor, Sandy matures in just 30–50 days and produces 10–12-inch heads ideal for containers or garden beds. Very slow to bolt, maintains excellent texture and taste even in heat, and resists powdery mildew, downy mildew, and tip burn. An outstanding choice for both home and market growers.
