Pineapple is the tomato that commands attention. Huge, yellow-gold fruits often streaked with red arrive with fewer seeds and more solids than a standard beefsteak — meaning more tomato in every slice. Absolutely luscious, rich, and meaty with a strong tomato aroma and a fruity, almost tropical aftertaste, Pineapple delivers a ‘real tomato’ experience that is as fascinating to look at as it is delicious to eat. Extremely prolific and very high yielding, this colossal heirloom is one of the most impressive tomatoes you can grow.
Indeterminate, maturing in 75–80 days. A showstopper in the garden and on the table.
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed, spacing plants 24–36 inches apart in full sun. Stake or cage indeterminate vines. Water consistently and deeply. Harvest when fruits are fully golden-yellow and give slightly to gentle pressure.
