Osaka Purple Mustard (Brassica juncea) is the winter mustard green that earns its place in the garden through sheer toughness and beauty. Growing Notes

Direct sow outdoors in late summer for fall/winter harvest, or in early spring 4–6 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep, 1–2 inches apart. Thin to 6 inches. Full sun to part shade. Water consistently. Harvest leaf by leaf for extended production — do not uproot the whole plant. Color and flavor improve after frost.
