NuMex Joe E. Parker Pepper, Heirloom Seeds — The Improved New Mexico Heirloom for Chile Rellenos, Roasting, and Wreaths

NuMex Joe E. Parker (Capsicum annuum) is an improved version of the classic New Mexico pepper — an Anaheim-type heirloom with thicker flesh and slightly larger fruits than its relatives. Tall plants produce 8–10 inch cylindrical peppers with mild heat of 1,500–3,000 SHU, ideal for stuffing, roasting, canning, and chile rellenos. Popular in New Mexico for pepper wreaths and ornamental displays. Ripens to red. 75–85 days.

Why Grow NuMex Joe E. Parker?

  • 8–10 inch thick-fleshed cylindrical pods — larger and meatier than standard Anaheim
  • Mild heat — 1,500–3,000 SHU — perfect for chile rellenos and roasting
  • Excellent for canning and wreaths — popular in New Mexico for ornamental displays
  • Improved New Mexico heirloom — thicker flesh, better yield
  • Open-pollinated heirloom — save seed year after year
