Murasaki Chingensai — also known as ‘Red Kingdom’ Pak Choi — is the most striking green in your garden. Developed in Japan, this compact, upright hybrid dazzles with deep, glossy reddish-purple leaves that intensify in cool weather and full sun. As beautiful in the garden as it is on the plate. Classic pak choi flavor — slightly mustardy, tender, and versatile — with the added nutritional punch of high anthocyanin content. 35–45 days.
Cool-season crop — best in spring and fall for deepest color. Direct sow or transplant. Well-draining, fertile, consistently moist soil. Space 6–8 inches apart. Watch for flea beetles and slugs. Harvest young for baby greens or allow to mature for full heads.
