Moneymaker (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) is one of the oldest heirloom tomatoes in the world — originally released in 1913 by F. Stonor of Southampton as a greenhouse variety. Intensely red, smooth, 4–6 oz globes of very high quality. Grows well in hot, humid climates and greenhouses, and sets fruit in almost any weather — a rare and valuable trait. Flavorful and becoming increasingly rare. Indeterminate. 75–80 days from transplant.
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after frost danger has passed, spacing plants 24–36 inches apart in full sun. Stake or cage. Water consistently. Harvest when fruits are fully red and slightly soft. 75–80 days from transplant.
