Martian Jewels is a showstopper in the garden — 8"–10" ears of pearl-white kernels set against deep violet cobs, stems, and husks that look like they landed from another planet. But the real magic is in the story behind it. This open-pollinated variety was carefully developed using Native American Hopi blue corn as a parent, loading each kernel with beneficial anthocyanins (antioxidants) while preserving a classic, slightly less sweet corn flavor that modern hybrids have all but abandoned.
Direct sow after last frost when soil has warmed to at least 60°F. Plant in blocks of at least 4 rows for good pollination. Space 12 inches apart in rows 24–36 inches apart. Full sun. Water consistently, especially during tasseling and silking. Harvest at 70–75 days for fresh eating, or allow to fully dry on the stalk for flour.

Plant height: 6–8 feet
Packet size: ~25+ seeds
Type: Heirloom, Open-Pollinated, Non-GMO, Annual
