Maricella (Lactuca sativa) is a reliable heirloom red leaf lettuce — deeply colored, tender red leaves with exceptional slow-bolting habit and heat tolerance. One of the best red leaf lettuces for summer growing. Mild, pleasant flavor. Excellent for cut-and-come-again harvesting. Open-pollinated and non-GMO.
Direct sow outdoors in early spring, summer, or fall. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep, thinning to 8–10 inches apart. Excellent heat tolerance — suitable for summer planting. Water consistently. Harvest outer leaves as needed or cut entire plant for regrowth.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
