Japanese Pickling Eggplant is mellow and sweet-tasting, with creamy, meaty flesh. As their name suggests, they lend themselves perfectly to pickling. This long and slender Japanese variety has 16in fruits. It has beautiful, glossy purple skin and sweet and mellow flesh. It is easy to grow from seeds. The mid-season Japanese Pickling cultivar has a reasonable germination rate and matures 75-85 days from transplanting.

These are growing very well. Plants are about a foot high so far. Everything I've gotten from them is doing great.
