Hearts of Gold (Cucumis melo) is an orange-fleshed muskmelon dating back to around 1890 — once the most popular commercial cantaloupe in the Midwest. Large, oval, ribbed fruits weigh 4–5 pounds with luscious deep-orange golden flesh that is sweet, juicy, and intensely fragrant. The seed cavity is relatively small for the size of the fruit. Short shelf life — best enjoyed fresh at peak ripeness. 85 days.
Start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed into warm soil in full sun. Space plants 3–4 feet apart. Water consistently. Harvest when rind turns golden and melon slips from vine. Short shelf life — enjoy fresh.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
