Golden Ball Turnip, Heirloom Seeds β€” The 1859 Heirloom Some Call the Best-Tasting Turnip of All

Golden Ball (Brassica rapa) was first introduced in 1859 and has been popular ever since β€” a beautifully round, golden-yellow turnip with peppery-sweet flavor that many consider the finest-tasting turnip available. Perfectly shaped 3–4-inch amber globes with smooth skin, delicate-grained meaty flesh that is never woody, and a sweet, mellow, smooth flavor that improves with frost. Stores wonderfully. The greens are tasty too. 70 days.
