Gold Rush Wax Bush Beans are stringless, straight wax beans with a fine flavor and crisp texture that make them ideal for canning, freezing, pickling, and Lacto-fermenting — or delicious as a dry shell bean. Very productive, compact plants produce 5–6-inch pods with creamy white seeds that taste excellent as dry-shell beans. A versatile, reliable heirloom that earns its place in any kitchen garden. 54 days.
Direct sow outdoors after last frost when soil has warmed to at least 60°F. Sow seeds 1 inch deep, 2–3 inches apart, in rows 18–24 inches apart in full sun. Water consistently. Harvest snap beans at 5–6 inches, or allow pods to dry on the plant for shell or dry beans. Succession-sow every 2–3 weeks for continuous harvest.
