Italian Giant Parsley β€” The World’s Most Popular Herb, in Its Best Culinary Form

Italian Giant Parsley is the preferred culinary variety β€” and for good reason. Huge, dark green leaves with exceptional flavor grow on vigorous, upright stems that make it one of the best parsley varieties for fresh market sales and home kitchen use alike. Very high-yielding and heat tolerant, Italian Giant delivers a continuous harvest of the world’s most popular herb from a single planting.

A biennial plant, parsley returns year after year once established β€” and if allowed to go to seed, it spreads naturally for an ever-expanding supply of easy plants. A genuine superfood rich in vitamins A, C, and K, iron, and folate.

Why Grow Italian Giant Parsley?

  • Biennial & self-seeding β€” returns year after year, spreads naturally if allowed to seed
  • Good heat tolerance β€” reliable through warm summer conditions
  • Nutritional superfood β€” rich in vitamins A, C & K, iron, and folate
  • Open-pollinated heirloom β€” save seed year after year

Growing Notes

Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost β€” parsley is slow to germinate (14–28 days) but reliable. Soak seeds overnight before sowing to speed germination. Sow ΒΌ inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil. Transplant or thin to 6–8 inches apart in full sun to part shade. Water consistently. Harvest outer stems regularly to encourage continuous production. Allow some plants to go to seed for natural self-seeding.
