Also known as Bird’s Eye Chili, Thai Bird Pepper is the backbone of Southeast Asian cuisine — tiny, pungent, and intensely hot. Small 1” pods can be harvested green or red, and prolific plants yield enormous harvests all season. Hardy to 55°F and tolerant of rainy weather, this is one of the most reliable and productive hot peppers you can grow.
Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. Transplant to full sun in fertile, well-draining soil, spacing 18 inches apart. Keep evenly watered. Harvest small 1” pods green or allow to ripen red for maximum heat.
