French Breakfast Radish, Heirloom Seeds — The 1870 Oblong Scarlet Radish With Sweet, Tender, Mild Flesh

French Breakfast (Raphanus sativus) was first mentioned by B.K. Bliss and Son of New York in 1870 — and it has been a garden staple ever since. An oblong radish growing 1½–2 inches long, scarlet up top with a bright white tip, French Breakfast is sweet, tender, and mild with crisp white flesh that is mildly pungent and perfect for salads. The spicy green tops make a lively addition to salads and stir-fries. A quick-growing cool-weather crop that can be grown in containers. Excellent home garden variety — note it doesn’t store well, so harvest promptly and enjoy fresh. 25 days.

Growing Notes
