Cushaw Green Stripe (Cucurbita argyrosperma) is a classic Southern heirloom — a large, curved-neck squash with cream-colored skin and distinctive green stripes. Sweet, mild, fine-grained flesh is excellent for pies, soups, and stews. Heat-tolerant and productive in hot climates. Weighs 10–20 lbs. 110 days.
Direct sow outdoors after last frost in full sun, or start indoors 3–4 weeks before transplanting. Sow 1 inch deep, spacing plants 48–60 inches apart. Water consistently. Harvest when skin is hard and stem is dry.
