Crookneck (Cucurbita pepo) is one of the oldest squash varieties in North America — a pre-Columbian Native American heirloom with a distinctive curved neck, bumpy golden-yellow skin, and creamy, buttery flesh. Extremely prolific plants deliver continuous harvests all season. Best harvested at 4–6 inches for peak tenderness. 50 days.
Direct sow outdoors after last frost in full sun, or start indoors 2–3 weeks before transplanting. Sow 1 inch deep, spacing plants 24–36 inches apart. Water consistently. Harvest frequently at 4–6 inches for best flavor.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
