Cherry Tomato Seed Kit — 5 Heirloom Varieties, One Garden-Ready Collection

Those flavorless, rock-hard marbles at the grocery store are nothing like the cherry tomatoes you can grow in your own backyard. This Heirloom Cherry Tomato Seed Kit gives you five of our favorite sweet, colorful, prolific varieties — one packet each — so you can fill your garden (and your snack bowl) with a rainbow of flavor all season long. Big producers, easy to grow, and impossible to stop eating straight off the vine.

What's in the Kit

  • Red Cherry Tomato — the classic backyard cherry; sweet, bright red, incredibly prolific
  • Black Cherry Tomato — deep mahogany-red with rich, complex, almost smoky flavor
  • Orange Cherry Tomato — sweet, low-acid, tropical flavor in a bright orange package
  • Austin's Red Pear Tomato — pear-shaped, meaty, mild and sweet; great for snacking and salads
  • Yellow Pear Tomato — mild, sweet, low-acid; the most kid-friendly tomato in the garden

Occasionally a variety may be temporarily out of stock. When that happens, we'll substitute an equally delicious heirloom cherry tomato variety so your kit always arrives with 5 full packets of seed.

In the Kitchen

Eat them straight off the vine as you work in the garden. Toss into salads for a burst of color and sweetness. Roast with olive oil and garlic for a quick pasta sauce. Layer onto charcuterie boards. Pack into lunchboxes. The mixed colors make every dish look like it came from a farmers market.

Growing Notes

Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after all frost risk has passed when soil has warmed. Space 24–36 inches apart in full sun in rich, well-draining soil. Stake or cage indeterminate varieties. Water consistently — even moisture prevents blossom end rot and cracking. Harvest frequently to keep plants producing all season.
