Released in 1961 by Dr. Joe McFerran of the University of Arkansas, Bradley is the tomato that defined a generation of Southern kitchen gardens. Compact, bushy, regular-leaf plants with heavy foliage yield copious amounts of 7β10 oz dark-pink tomatoes with a wonderfully balanced sweetness and just enough acidity to deliver that old-fashioned big tomato flavor you love. The fruits ripen at the same time, making Bradley exceptional for canning and freezing β and an excellent fresh market tomato in its own right.
Fusarium wilt resistant, semi-determinate, and ready in 75 days. A proven heirloom that rewards consistent care with generous, uniform harvests.
Start indoors 6β8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds ΒΌ inch deep in fertile, well-draining soil. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed, spacing plants 18β24 inches apart in full sun. Water consistently. Harvest when fruits are fully dark-pink and firm.
