Black Brandywine, Tomato,
Black Brandywine Tomato Heirloom was bred sometime in the late 1920s by Dr. Harold E. Martin (1888-1959). This tomato is incomparably sweet. Large, potato leaf, prolific vines produce reddish black fruits in clusters of 3-5. Outstanding, with a rich, intense tomato flavor. Very meaty with few seeds, similar to most Brandywines. A great choice. As is typical of heirloom plants, Brandywine is an open-pollinated variety that breeds true from generation to generation. Indeterminate. 80-90 days.
